Our new regional leadership model

We announced our new regional leadership model designed leverage global best practices.

Akira Shimizu has been appointed Head of Asia Pacific. After relocating to our Stockholm office in 2016, where he became the Head of the Nordics, Akira has returned to Tokyo and will oversee our Japanese and Australian portfolio and business operations.

Gordon Hatton, has been appointed Vice President, Asia Pacific Development and will oversee our developments across our Japanese and Australian portfolios, working closely with the local teams.

We are delighted to welcome Jo-Ann Hawkings as Regional Director, Australia leading Pembroke’s Australian portfolio and operations, and identifying growth opportunities for the business.

Kristin Willerström has been appointed Regional Director, Nordics overseeing Pembroke’s operations and portfolio across Stockholm, Oslo, and Helsinki.

Matthew Knight is our new Vice President, European Development. Matthew has relocated to London after previously serving as Head of Australia.  In his new role Matthew will work closely with our regional leaders and local teams.

Matthew Knight and Gordon Hatton will work alongside Michael Bowers, Vice President, US Development to progress our active global pipeline with 1.5M sq ft of development over the next 5 years.

This new regional leadership model highlights how we are investing in our team and strengthening our regional capabilities to deliver value creation strategies in these core regions. Local insight, innovation, expertise and growth from within is crucial as we share best practices, and create systems to help us work smarter and meet the needs of our markets, assets and tenants.
