Over 170,000 Sq ft secured at Seaport West

Foley Hoag LLP, a global law firm headquartered in Boston, has renewed its commitment to Seaport West for the third time with a new, 15-year lease to run through 2037.

Foley Hoag, a tenant since the building’s opening in 2002, will continue to occupy 165,000 sq. ft. over five floors. This space serves as the firm’s global headquarters and houses many of the practices upon which Foley Hoag built its pioneering reputation, including in life sciences, technology, healthcare, litigation, intellectual property, and business. Foley Hoag plans to refresh its office space to align with the latest in legal industry services delivery trends and technology and to further invest in its more than 400 Boston-based employees.

Kenneth Leonetti, co-managing partner at Foley Hoag, commented: “For seventeen years, Foley Hoag has recognized the Seaport as an emerging epicenter of business in Boston. Our long-term relationship with Pembroke and the commitment to delivering superior service led us to a decision to remain in our space, particularly as the neighborhood continues to attract both established and developing companies in the life sciences and technology industries.”

Jack Clark, Senior Vice President commented: “On the heels of AEW Capital Management’s twelve-year recommitment to Seaport East, we’re thrilled to continue our relationship with Foley at Seaport West. Not only do these recommitments reinforce the drawing power of the Seaport, they speak volumes to the quality of the campus that’s continued to evolve and innovate over almost two decades.”

Seaport Place is a unique 2.2 million sq ft pioneer Seaport District mixed-use development which includes office towers Seaport East and West, the Seaport Hotel, and the Seaport World Trade Center. Pembroke recently filed a project plan with the BPDA for the revitalization of the 705,000 sq ft Seaport World Trade Center on the prominent Commonwealth Pier.

Featuring diverse retail, fitness and restaurant offerings, the campus overlooks the Boston Harbor and includes the rare amenity of two unique public parks: Eastport Park, a 1.6-acre sculpture park with sea-themed artwork, and the elevated Westport Park, which incorporates Seaport Place’s award-winning green roof.

Pembroke’s Boston portfolio also includes 255 State Street, a signature Class A, LEED Gold mixed-use building overlooking the Harbor and Rose Kennedy Greenway.
