Head of Asia Pacific, Representative in Japan
Akira manage Pembroke’s business initiatives and property portfolio in the Asia Pacific region (Australia and Japan).
Akira joined Pembroke’s Tokyo office in 2010 and relocated to the Stockholm office in 2016 where he eventually became Head of the Nordics until his return to Japan in 2020. His responsibility in the Nordics covered Pembroke’s strategic initiatives for the properties in Sweden, Norway and Finland. Prior to this in Tokyo, he managed the second phase of the Azabu Gardens luxury residential development, which he oversaw from inception to operational launch and lease-up. Akira was also responsible for the asset management of Pembroke’s 150,000 sq ft Tokyo residential portfolio.

Prior to joining Pembroke, Akira worked for a US-based real estate investor focusing on acquisitions, dispositions and risk management. He also held positions at a Japanese development company managing design, construction and operations of various development projects in Tokyo. Akira is fluent in English and Japanese.
