Pembroke lets 50 percent of Coffee Plaza West, Hamburg
Pembroke today announced the signing of DIS AG, part of the world's leading recruitment and employment agency Adecco Group, for 50 percent of Coffee Plaza West in Hamburg’s popular HafenCity district.
DIS AG has signed a five-year lease taking 2,250 sq m of office space across four contiguous levels, translating to 50 percent of the building. The letting follows a significant investment in improvement works at both Coffee Plaza West and S-KAI, including redesigned lobbies by international design practice, Hassell, and improved wayfinding and signage. A new refurbished roof terrace at Coffee Plaza West is also due to be completed in summer 2019, which will provide impressive views towards the Elbphilharmonie.
Nick Moldon, Vice President and Head of UK and Germany at Pembroke, commented:
We have always believed that HafenCity, with its close proximity to transport links, the harbor, a landmark concert hall and green spaces, has the potential to appeal to a rich and diverse tenant mix. We are delighted that our commitment to the area coupled with our active asset management approach, has enabled us to attract DIS AG to consolidate its existing Hamburg presence at Coffee Plaza West.
Acquired by Pembroke in 2015, Coffee Plaza West is one of four properties within its Hamburg portfolio, alongside Coffee Plaza East, Hamburg American Centre and S-KAI. Totaling 32,000 sq m the properties comprise modern office, retail and restaurant space. This includes Bianc, chef Matteo Ferrantino’s Mediterranean-style offering that opened at S-KAI late last year, and his latest concept, Picnic by Bianc, a new café bistro offering small plates which opened last month.
Thomas Moisa, Head of Corporate Real Estate at Adecco Group, comments:
Seamlessly amalgamating our various DIS AG office locations to one address was hugely important to our business, and Coffee Plaza West in HafenCity checked all the boxes for us given its easy accessibility as an extension of the city centre.
Fit-out works have now commenced and the space will be available to DIS AG in December 2018.
2,150 sq m of space remains available at Coffee Plaza West with an additional 5,000 sq m available at S-Kai.
