{"id":2296,"date":"2016-02-15T10:37:00","date_gmt":"2016-02-15T10:37:00","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.pembroke.com\/?p=2296"},"modified":"2023-11-15T13:22:09","modified_gmt":"2023-11-15T13:22:09","slug":"swedbank-relocating-to-central-stockholm-after-signing-22-year-agreement-with-pembroke","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.pembroke.com\/news\/swedbank-relocating-to-central-stockholm-after-signing-22-year-agreement-with-pembroke\/","title":{"rendered":"Swedbank relocating to central Stockholm"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Today we announced a 22 year lease agreement signed with Pembroke<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>We have signed a letter of intent for <a href=\"https:\/\/www.swedbank.com\/about-swedbank.html\">Swedbank<\/a>, a leading Nordic-Baltic banking group offering retail banking, asset management and financial services, to move its Large Corporates &amp; Institutions (LC&amp;I) unit to Sveav\u00e4gen 14; a 13,000 sq m office building located on Sveav\u00e4gen opposite the H\u00f6torget Towers. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Set to move in during the first quarter of 2017, Swedbank will remain at <a href=\"https:\/\/www.pembroke.com\/europe\/sweden\/stockholm\/sveavagen-14\/\" data-type=\"portfolio\" data-id=\"3148\">Sveav\u00e4gen 14<\/a> for up to 5 years, before locating to our latest development, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.pembroke.com\/europe\/sweden\/stockholm\/hasten-21\/\" data-type=\"portfolio\" data-id=\"3151\">H\u00e4sten 21<\/a>, where they will be the building\u2019s anchor tenant. H\u00e4sten 21 is situated in the intersection between M\u00e4ster Samuelsgatan and Regeringsgatan.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Conveniently situated next to major metro station, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.pembroke.com\/europe\/sweden\/stockholm\/sveavagen-14\/\" data-type=\"portfolio\" data-id=\"3148\">Sveav\u00e4gen 14<\/a> benefits from eight upper office floors of approximately 1,100 sq m. We anticipate this move will be a great benefit to Swedbank and its customers, as it allows Swedbank to evolve its office requirements within the city centre.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>G\u00f6ran Bronner, CFO of Swedbank, said:&nbsp;<\/strong>We are happy to have closed this agreement with Pembroke and look forward to a long-term relationship and fruitful cooperation.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>H\u00e4sten 21 is part of a development area that also includes <a href=\"https:\/\/www.pembroke.com\/europe\/sweden\/stockholm\/masterhuset\/\" data-type=\"portfolio\" data-id=\"18\">M\u00e4sterhuset<\/a> and <a href=\"https:\/\/www.pembroke.com\/europe\/sweden\/stockholm\/pk-huset\/\" data-type=\"portfolio\" data-id=\"3137\">PK Huset<\/a>. Together these three buildings will become a new multi-use destination, providing a vibrant place for Stockholmers to live, work, shop and socialize. Later this month, the City Building Council of Stockholm (Stadsbyggnadsn\u00e4mnden) is expected to approve a start-up memorandum from the City Building Office (Stadsbyggnadskontoret), initiating a detailed development plan process concerning the property. It is expected construction of the new H\u00e4sten 21 will begin in 2018 and be finalized during 2020.
